Within the framework of fatty acid analysis, we have developed our own very comprehensive profile in clinical chemistry, which provides very precise and profound insights into the biochemistry of metabolism and the cell. The methods are mainly based on state-of-the-art spectroscopic investigations.
Within the scope of quantitative & qualitative determination of fatty acids, diseases can be detected and controlled. Disorders of fatty acid oxidation can also be analyzed (carnitine), such as the supply of the organism with essential and non-essential fatty acids, whereby the ratio of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids is of particular importance (e.g. EPA / AA quotient). The possibility of determining the fatty acid status in erythrocyte membranes within the framework of long-term monitoring is also given, and this far beyond the so-called omega-3 index!
Here we apply highly qualified high-tech: GC-MS and Lab-on-Chip technology, which is not established elsewhere.
