    Please note the following shipping information when sending samples to the IGL laboratory.

    Shipping within Germany:

    • Shipment by "Priority Mail" as Maxibrief of Deutsche Post in a shipping bag.
    • The samples must be labelled with the patient's name and date of birth.
    • It is possible to send several samples per envelope. A sealable sample bag is then required for each sample.
    • A fully completed order form must be enclosed with each sample in the shipping bag. In the case of several samples, please enclose the respective order form with the corresponding sample bag.

    Shipping from an EU country:

    • We recommend shipping by FedEx as "International Priority Shipping" by parcel or letter post with a delivery time of 2 days.
    • The samples must be labelled with the patient's name and date of birth.
    • It is possible to send more than one sample per envelope. One sample bag is then required per sample.
    • Each sample must be accompanied by a fully completed order form in the shipping bag. In the case of several samples, please enclose the respective order form with the corresponding sample bag.

    Shipping from a non-EU country:

    • We recommend shipping by FedEx as "International Priority Shipping" by parcel or letter post with a delivery time of 2 days.
    • The samples must be labelled with the patient's name and date of birth.
    • It is possible to send more than one sample per envelope. One sample bag is then required per sample.
    • Each sample must be accompanied by a fully completed order form in the shipping bag. In the case of several samples, please enclose the respective order form with the corresponding sample bag.
    • A proforma invoice in triplicate must be issued for the consignment. When sending your samples to us in Germany, the following points must be considered within the framework of the EU requirements for shipping documents from 1 March 2023:

      1. State the HS code 3002901000 for sending samples on the proforma invoice.

      2. The exact description of the contents of the consignment "human blood samples" must be indicated on the proforma invoice.

      3. Information from points 1) and 2) in the appropriate field on the shipping label / air waybill.

      4. The IGL laboratory has an EORI number, which you should indicate on the proforma invoice when shipping and in the space provided when declaring the shipment (e.g. on the FedEx website). The EORI number of the IGL Laboratory is EORI-N° DE950129047487235.

      5. A value of goods of € 1.00 or $ 1.00 must be indicated on the proforma invoice.

    • These proforma invoices are to be attached to the outside of the consignment in a transparent document bag.
    • The "UN3373" logo shown at the top of this page shall be affixed to the outside of the package or letter to indicate the contents. Special envelopes for laboratory materials with this imprint are provided by the shippers FedEx or UPS.
