Only relevant for Serum gel tubes: If you are using tubes with gel. Fill the tubes completely with blood. Then place the tube upright and allow the blood to clot for 30-60 min. Centrifuge the blood for 10 min at 2,000 x g.

The type of sample tubes required is noted on our order form after each examination. A distinction is made between EDTA, serum and PAXgene®. Please contact us regarding the required amount of blood. Please contact us by email at info@igl-labor.de or via our contact form.

For iEC examinations, at least three completely filled EDTA tubes with a volume of 2.7 ml each are required. Even with more than one iEC examination per patient, a total of three EDTA tubes is sufficient.

We do not ship EDTA or serum tubes. For ATP and Cell-free DNA analysis only, we ship our Epigenetic Diagnostic Kit with special PAXgene® tubes. For all other analyses please use EDTA or serum tubes according to the instructions on our order form. The cost of an Epigenetic Diagnostic Kit is €28 and will be invoiced with the incoming order.

Our Epigenetic Diagnostic Kit contains PAXgene® tubes for the analysis of the ATP profile and Cell-free DNA. If you would like to order these tests, please contact us in advance during our office hours by phone at Tel: +49 4845 / 791640, by email at info@igl-labor.de or via our contact form.

Please obtain these shipping tubes yourself, e.g. from your pharmacy or your contact person for laboratory supplies.

No. There is no collection of blood samples by the IGL Laboratory. The samples are sent by the physician or patient by courier.

Samples are accepted, but receipt is not acknowledged on that day.

We send the invoice by mail directly to the patient. For submissions that do not reach us from Germany, the physician receives the invoice and it is debited from his practice credit card.

The following applies as orientation:

• Practice from Germany / Patient from Germany -> The patient receives an invoice.
• Practice from Germany / Patient not from Germany -> The patient's credit card is used for billing.
• Practice not from Germany / Patient not from Germany -> The patient is billed via the practice's credit card.

No, we do not grant discounts, neither for physicians nor for patients.

Please make an appointment with your physician. Fill out our order form together with him/her. The selected test will indicate which blood tubes we need.
After the blood collection, send the blood samples together with the order form to us by courier service to the following address:

You can send in the lab order via your family doctor or any other doctor you trust, or you can find a physician in your area.

The blood sample must only be taken and the order form filled out by a physician. Of course, you as a patient can then send the sample directly to us by courier. Please be sure to enclose the order form, which has been completed in full with your physician, with your shipment.

We welcome patients and practices from all over the world. As an orientation the following applies:

Which blood samples are required for your test is indicated on our order form after the respective test (EDTA, serum or PAXgene® tubes).

No, this is not required for our tests. The blood can be taken at any time of the day.

As we can only examine the blood samples up to a maximum of 10 days after blood collection, please choose a reliable shipping service provider who can guarantee prompt delivery. E. g. in Germany we recommend sending them by Deutsche Post in a sturdy envelope as a „Maxibrief“ for € 2.75 (as of postage costs 01.02.2022).

As a rule, your physician will receive the laboratory results by e-mail about one week after your blood sample has arrived at our laboratory.
